Role Description The Senior Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Caracas, responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion. This role manages project timelines, budgets, resources, and subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered on schedule, within scope, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include supervising construction teams, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, monitoring progress on-site, and resolving issues that may impact project delivery. The Senior Construction Project Manager will liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and suppliers, prepare progress reports, and support decision-making with accurate project documentation and performance metrics. The position also involves optimizing processes, mitigating risks, and mentoring junior project staff to maintain consistent project performance.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Construction Project Management and Construction Management, with a track record of delivering complex projects.
• Proficiency in Project Management and Project Coordination to plan, organize, and oversee multidisciplinary teams and workflows.
• Demonstrated experience in Budgeting, cost control, and financial planning for construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations, and local building codes.
• Experience leading on-site teams, managing subcontractors, and coordinating with clients and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and risk management capabilities.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and project documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field; advanced certifications in project management (e.g., PMP or equivalent) are an asset.
• Proficiency with project management and construction software tools; familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project or similar) is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Caracas and adapt to changing project priorities and conditions.
