ALTAMIRA TRADE AG is a Swiss group, dedicated to the trade of minerals and non-ferrous metals.

We are looking for Interns (Pasantes) in Caracas, Venezuela to integrate in our operation desk. Our interns will provide support to the traffic team, who initiate/execute the buy/sell operations, negotiated by the trading team.

The objective of the internship is to provide the candidate with an introductory exposure to the basic components of international trade in commodities, and in particular, metals and minerals. These include, but are not limited to:

+ Transport contracting (trucks, rail, sea)

+ Quality control (sampling, chemical analysis, weighting)

+ Invoicing and control of credit risk/exposure with counterparties

+ Hedge (through futures)

+ Contract drafting

Interns who demonstrate good performance/passion for the industry will be invited to participate in a 3-month training in another Latin American office in Bolivia or Peru. The ultimate goal of the internship is a full-time position within ALTAMIRA TRADE AG .

Candidates must be graduates in business sciences. (business administration, finance, commercial engineering, industrial engineering or similar). with english proficiency.
